My work is divided in 3 main projects, 2 of which are in collaboration, one with C. Parsot at the INSERM U389 (Pasteur Institute, Paris) and the other one with X. Nassif at the INSERM U570 (Necker Medical School). A common goal of these projects is to measure the extend and the biological meaning of polymorphisms in gene contents and expression patterns in the bacterial model E.coli/Shigella and to correlate these polymorphisms with the ecological and evolutionnary characteristics of the strains. Molecular biology and in silico approaches are used with on one hand macroarrays membranes and on the other hand in silico genomic comparisons. |
